Since the foundation of the College in the 19th century, Royal Holloway has established a reputation for fundamental field-based research - something which is facilitated by our ‘living campus’ – 135 acres of woodland, meadows and watercourses.
Today, we have major interdisciplinary research programs around climate and biodiversity, as part of our goal to be a university of social purpose. We aim to empower our community through research, education and partnerships to mitigate climate and biodiversity crises and reduce our environmental footprint.
